Proactiv Solution is a three-step acne treatment system. It is formulated to work as a combination therapy for acne treatment. For this well known and widely used acne treatment system, a five star rating would only work.
The three-step acne treatment is formulated to work as a combination therapy for acne treatment. The system is available in both a special 30 day trial sized kit and a full sized 60 day supply. The three steps are as follows:
1) Renewing Cleanser: The Renewing Cleanser has benzoyl peroxide as the active ingredient. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells, allowing benzoyl peroxide to penetrate in to pores.
2) Revitalizing Toner: The Revitalizing Toner is used to hydrate the cleansed skin. It contains witch hazel, dog rose fruit extract, aloe vera leaf juice, allantoin, and anthemis nobilis flower extract. Revitalizing Toner soothes and softens skin while removing pore-clogging impurities.
3) Repairing Lotion: The Repairing Lotion also contains benzoyl peroxide; a comparatively smaller dose of it is applied, and then not rinsed off but rather allowed to dry, in order to suppress bacteria buildup. Repairing Lotion hydrates skin while penetrating deep in to pores to stop acne-causing bacteria at the source itself

I have been using the Proactiv system for 3 years now. It has calmed my skin down. I still get break outs, but they are not as server as they were before I used the system. The cost is pricey, but I use my systems wisely and space my deliveries to every 5 months instead of the every 2 months. You do get a clean feeling after use and the blemish cream (sold separtely) does work quick. I still have blackheads and I haven't found a product yet to remove them. Over all I am pleased. If you have light acne problems, this product should work great for you. I have moderate acne and this product helps keeps it calmed down.
